DO YOU THINK ABOUT A CAREER IN FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT? HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT
The internet space is huge. Really huge. There are more than 1.25 billion websites on the Internet, and thousands of new ones appear every day. Web developers (also known as Front-end developers) are individuals responsible for making this happen. They take static visual design and turn it into a functional, website that people can visit and interact with.

The web developer should not be confused with the web designer (who decides what a website looks like), although these roles often overlap.

START STUDYING WEB DEVElOPMENT

To start learning web development, you need to know three key languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There is still a lot to learn after mastering these, but these three are the basics. We want to think of them as the holy trinity in web development!

Let's take a brief look at all three individually:

WHAT IS HTML?

HTML, is known as  HyperText Markup Language, is a markup language used to describe the basic structure of a web page. Markup Language is a language that tells the computer how to present data, in this case, these are the parts of the website.

Every web page that is online is basically an HTML file. HTML code includes tags that tell search engines how to display data on visitors' screens, informing them when certain sections, such as paragraphs and images, begin and end.

Using HTML, you will be able to write a simple web page. Unfortunately, it will not look very good, but here we start using CSS ...

WHAT IS CSS?

CSS is known as Cascading Style Sheets is used to create a presentation and layout of a website. This includes the colors, fonts, and layout of the page. You can also use CSS to customize the design to fit different screen sizes and devices, which has become increasingly important in recent years as mobile phones and tablets are now the primary devices for many people to browse the web.

It is common to apply more than one style to one HTML page; that is where the "cascading" part enters. Cascading bit means that any CSS rule can surpass the previous rules - the rules are essentially ranked from general to specific. Search engines take the most specific rule and use it. Sounds complicated, but it's not - and it saves a lot of developers time.

WHAT IS JAVASCRIPT?

A web page created with HTML and CSS may look great, but it's just static. To make it really interesting, you may want to add some interactivity, such as videos or animations. JavaScript tells the browser how to respond when a user takes action without the browser having to ask the server. This saves time, adds extra usability, and gives web developers far more control over their web pages.

Consider it thusly: if your site were an individual, HTML would be bones, text, and pictures would be tissue, and CSS would be skin and hair. That person may look good, but they will not move much without JavaScript - muscles. Each element is essential to making a fully functional, interactive person - or website - so we advise you to learn all three.
